Best Council/Assembly Newsletter

The following criteria must be met in order to be considered for one of the Newsletter awards:
  • A Council or Assembly must be in good standing with both State Council & Supreme Council
  • A Council or Assembly can win in only one category (Newsletter or Media Event)
  • To be considered for the Newsletter Award (Council or Assembly), the newsletter must have been posted on the Council's or Assembly's web site on www.tkofc.org
  • Submit notification to Paul Bettge when you have posted your entry for best newsletter on the State Council web site.
  • Newsletters will be judged on content with consideration of all Program Activates (Membership, Council Activities, Church Activities, Family Activities, Community Activities, and Youth Activities), information passed on to membership, and information on Council Officers, Directors, and Chairmen.
  • You do NOT need to fill out a form, but must let me know when and where the newsletter is posted or send me an electronic copy of the newsletter.  Paper copies cannot be considered for judging since we are recognizing and promoting use of the State Council web site as part of this award.
  • Your entry must be submitted to me by March 31 of the current fraternal year.

  • Best Media Event

    The following criteria must be met in order to be considered for the Best Media Event:
  • A Council or Assembly must be in good standing with both State Council & Supreme Council
  • The event must be a major event for your Council in one of the programming areas (Membership, Community, Council, Family, Church or Youth) or a major charitable activity.  If the event is for charity, the charity receiving the proceeds of the event must be identified
  • The extent of the coverage (Newspapers, Television, Radio, etc.) will be one of the main criteria in establishing the winning Council or Assembly
  • The purpose of the event, the man hours expended by the Council, and the overall effectiveness of the event and its coverage will be the criteria for determining the winning Council or Assembly
  • You must submit (electronically or by mail) your entry by March 31, 2008. Be sure to include all newspaper articles, advertising materials, bulletin announcements, video tapes and any other promotional or newsworthy items concerning the event.
