For a team or individual to participate in a Knights of Columbus sponsored sporting event requires:
1) the home council must have their Supreme and State per capita paid current and 2) meet the requirements, rules and criteria set forth by each sporting event.
SOFTBALL
Players must appear on their Councils Supreme Membership Roster as of January 1, 2007.
This includes all transfers, reactivations and new members.
Each player must produce their current membership card and a
valid picture ID at time of registration.
All players playing on teams in the Open Division must be from the same council.
Teams playing in the Over 35 and Over 45 Division are allowed to pick-up three players from another
council provided the council does not have a team playing in the same division.
Teams playing in the Over 55 Division are allowed to pick-up players from another council provided
the council does not have a team playing in the same division and 50% of the team must be members of the
host council.
Councils with a total membership of seventy-five (75) members or less will be allowed to combine with
another council with seventy-five (75) or less to enter a team into the Open Division only.
BOWLING
It is preferable for bowlers to sign-up as a team. However, if you enter as an individual
we will pair you with a team if you have a valid established handicap from your local bowling establishment.
Those who do not have an established handicap can still participate in the tournament, but
must enter with a 185 average.
For the mixed bowling tournament the men must be members of the Knights of Columbus and have a valid
established handicap. The ladies only need to have a valid established handicap.
Those who do not have as established handicap can still participate in the tournament, but must go in
with a 185 average for men and 165 average for ladies.
GOLF
It is preferable for golfers to sign-up as a team but individual golfers are encouraged to enter and
will be assigned to a team.
To enter the tournament the golfer must furnish a valid handicap, which can be done one of two ways:
a. Submit a photocopy of their home club handicap card or PGA card.
b. Submit a scorecard from two different rounds, attested by the course pro or assistant pro.
The scorecards must be from rounds played no more than two months prior to submitting your
entry form.
Information on Bowling, Golf, and Softball tournaments will be posted as it becomes available
