Vocations is a calling to a particularly state in life, be it business, professional, married or to the
religious life. "Vocations are Everyone's Business" is a Knights of Columbus slogan and it is
our obligation to assist in Vocations to the religious life in our parishes throughout the 15 dioceses of
this great state as Texas Knights of Columbus.
To accomplish this appoint a Vocations Director and Committee within each council where knights can
dedicate themselves to this calling. Several suggestions for vocations to the religious life is
to hold programs for religious vocations. Coordinate a program with the parish through the
Parish Council's Vocation Committee, present a religious program on vocations to a Squire Circle or
Parish Religious Education class, or arrange trips for interested youths to local seminaries and
religious establishments. These are just a few suggestions. Consult your Vocations
Handbook and Supreme's Councils "Surge With Service" booklet for many more suggestions, supplies and
guidelines.
Texas Knights are strong supporters and defenders of the priesthood and religious life. This
is shown by the generous support of our seminarians and religious life through the Refund Support
Vocations Program (RSVP). Your moral and financial support for these seminarians is appreciated.
In reference to moral support, here are a few suggestions:In reference to moral support, here are a

Below you will find the current list (Support by Diocese), which shows the number of seminarians per
diocese and number adopted. This list will be updated quarterly to reflect standings of
seminarians supported by each diocese.
We would encourage councils to distribute the seminarians check as soon as possible.
Councils that support their seminarians with at least $500.00 will qualify for a $100.00 reimbursement
from Supreme through the RSVP Program. Please make checks payable to the seminarian and mail
it to the appropriate Diocesan Vocation Office.
My Brother Knights when a council, squire circle or an assembly shares their moral and financial
support with a seminarian, they are also sharing their Faith in God with them. They are the
future of our Church.
