St Jude Council will be Hosting the 2nd Annual Carnivore Cookoff June 3-4, 2011

St Jude Council #6269 will be hosting the 2nd Annual Carnivore Cook-off on June 3-4, 2011. The cook-off will be held at the Knights of Columbus Council Hall located at 2625 South Cooper in Arlington Tx. .

Cook off categories will include Beef Brisket, Chicken, Pork Baby Back Ribs and an open division. Cash Prizes will be awarded in each Category and for an overall Grand Champion. The prize amount in each category will be determined by the number of entries. Entry to this event is open to all. The entry fee for this event is $100 and gets you one entry into each category.

A cooks meeting will be held on Friday June 3 at 6:00 pm. Winners will be announced on Saturday June 4th at 4 pm.

A People’s Choice Award will also be presented to the team chosen by the public. People’s Choice tickets will be available beginning at Noon on Saturday for a small fee.

Festivities begin Friday Night with a Live Band.  Food And Beverages will be available. 

Proceeds from this event will benefit Knights of Columbus #6269 Charities and Catholic Charities of Fort Worth.

Council 2698 is hosting their first annual Summer Knight Bay Fishing Tournament. The rules and regulations is on the PDF attachment. All proceeds are to benefit the council as well as the newly reactivated Squires Circle 1492 in Mission.

Mission Council is located at 1119 Francisco Street within St. Paul’s Catholic Church Mission Texas 78572.

AWARDS
-1st, 2nd, and 3rd place for Redfish -1st, 2nd, and 3rd place for Trout -1st, 2nd and 3rd place for heaviest stringer
One Grand Champion will be awarded for tournament.
Grand Champion will be determined by the combined total weight by each angler.
THIS IS AN INDIVIDUAL AWARD – NO POOLING ALLOWED.
Entry fee must accompany registration form on or before *Friday May 20, 2011. One registration form per applicant. Please duplicate if necessary.

This is a one day fishing tournament starting at 6:00 am and ending at 4:00pm. Anglers can fish in this tournament only, no fish from other tournaments will be accepted.

Mission Council 2698 is having it’s first Annual Fishing Tournament at South Padre Island.

The Bishop Thomas Flanagan Golf Classic is the primary fundraiser for the Knights of Columbus to build a home for a needy family with Habitat for Humanity.  Each fall, all costs involved in building the home must be prepaid by the Knights before construction of the home can begin.

To augment the fundraising for the 2011 House for Habitat, the Knights of Columbus, will hold a second fundraiser in addition to the Annual Golf Tournament.  On June 24, 2011 the Knights will hold the “Last Man Standing” fundraiser.  Purchasing a ticket will entitle you to an evening of fun with a steak dinner for two, beer and wine.  The $100 ticket covers the entire cost of the dinner and makes you eligible to win a $5000 Grand Prize, $1000 or $500 drawing. (There will only be 300 tickets sold to the event.)

Last Man Standing will be held at Holy Trinity Catholic Church Hall at 6:00 PM.  What a fun and rewarding way to support our Bishop Tom Flanagan and Habitat for Humanity.
