To my Brother Knights

God wants us to see Christ, Our Brother, in everyone – and love Him truly in word and in deed.  In this day our deeds speak louder than words.  Knights of Columbus Council 2771 in November and December have spoken so all can hear.  We have exceeded our State charity goal.  On November 11th and 12th we fed some 350 Special Olympic bowlers at the annual Region 7 Bowl-a-Thon.  We raise money for these events through contracted “Casino Nights”.  We ask our fellow Knights to please serve in these activities when called upon.

In December we distributed 288 Christmas food baskets to identified needy families.  Every year this effort is a leap of our faith; faith that us as God’s children will acquire and provide the funds necessary to purchase the food and assemble the workers to distribute them.  In these difficult economic times it seems so much more important.  We pray every year for the continued success of this vital program.

Being a Knight means every member has the opportunity to speak not only in words, but also in deeds.

Remember, your deeds speak louder than words, so help us whenever you can.  And if you’re not yet a Knight, then join us!
