“We Are Called”
Jim Collins, State Deputy
Brother Knights, The theme chosen for 2012-2013, is “We Are Called”. Since our founding by the Venerable Servant of God, Father Michael J. McGivney in 1882, the Knights of Columbus have grown to 1.8 million members around the world and have touched the lives of those in need every day. Because of this we have become a valuable resource to the Catholic Church and the communities that we serve. As an organization, our best work is in the parish serving our pastor or being the extraordinary influence that we have on a society because, “We Are Called” the Knights of Columbus.
Texas has always been in the forefront of the Order and to borrow a phrase, “we have not had our Best Year Yet,” because we continue to meet our challenges head-on with a Yes We Can Do Attitude and working together as a team we will succeed. Our plan of action for this fraternal year is to continue growth at all levels and to be the best in the Order by June 30, 2013.
