Texas State Council 2012 Annual State Convention

To all Brother Knights of Texas:

You and your family are cordially invited to join us for the 108th Annual State Convention on April 27-29, 2012 at the Hilton of the Americas in Houston, Texas. The convention committee has been working very hard to make this convention a memorable one for all our Brother Knights throughout Texas.

To help make this State Convention a huge success, your council can:

Invite your membership and their wives to play in the Friday morning golf tournament,

Encourage your priests and deacons to participate in the clergy seminar on Friday morning by paying their expenses,

Invite your Brother Knights to break bread with the Bishops, Priests and Deacons during Friday’s Clergy Luncheon,

Submit applications for your best projects in ProLife, Community, Church, Council, Youth, and Family. Don’t forget to submit the application for your Family of the Year. Then attend the Awards Ceremony on Friday afternoon to reap the rewards.

On Friday evening, we will renew our “Passion to Serve” at the Opening Mass in the beautiful Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart. Then get ready to kick up your heels for some good ol’ fashioned entertainment from the sock hop era.

While the men are conducting business on Saturday, the ladies will be enjoying a wonderful ladies luncheon and entertainment. The day will conclude with our friends at the State Banquet.

On Sunday morning, we will remember our deceased Brothers at the Memorial Mass. Following Mass, the ladies will meet for Brunch, while the men wrap up business.

This will be the last hurrah for Marty and me. The delegates of this convention will elect a new administration to lead Texas’ success into the future. What a great experience we have had during these two years! Last year we celebrated becoming the largest jurisdiction in the USA. By the time we meet in April, Texas will have surpassed Quebec as the largest jurisdiction in North America. And it is all because of you. So what are you waiting on? Elect your two delegates and submit those forms from this booklet as soon as possible. Make your reservations and let the good times roll!We will see you soon.
