Marietta and I personally invite you and your family to join us at our 106th Annual State Convention. This year we will be in the Beautiful City of Corpus Christi on April 30th –May 2, 2010. What a great way to celebrate our Year of the Priest in the city named for the Body of Christ.
The 40th Texas State Championship Fiddlers Frolics, not attract the world’s best fiddlers and has grown into the world’s largest.

Knights of Columbus 4th Degree members from KC Council #3493 in San Benito prepare to lead Pro-Life marchers through the streets of San Benito on the way to the KC Hall, where a Pro-Life presentation was held Feb. 7.

The Special Olympics movement is about dignity, self confidence, ability and respect. There are more than 32,000 athletes in Texas who not only exemplify those qualities and many more, but are also outstanding and accomplished athletes. We would like to invite our brother knights to attend upcoming Special Olympics Texas events and witness our athletes’ abilities and “can do” attitudes.
Odessa councils 10404 and 3203 teamed up to feed over 350 Special Olympic basket ball players, their coaches, parents and tournament help. The event took place at the Odessa College Sports Center Saturday, February 20th. The councils cooked the hot dogs outside the center and ran them in to the second floor where participants lined up for hot dogs, chips, soda, and a candy bar. Helping run the hot dogs up to the second floor were several future younger knights.
Pope Benedict XVI has named Auxiliary Bishop Joe S. Vásquez, of the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston as Bishop of the Diocese of Austin. Bishop Vásquez will be the fifth bishop of Austin and the first Mexican-American to lead the diocese.
AUSTIN – Pope Benedict XVI has selected Msgr. W. Michael Mulvey, current administrator of the Diocese of Austin, to be the eighth bishop of the Diocese of Corpus Christi
With the help of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Nada and other individuals, along with a $25,000 donation from the Nada Knights of Columbus, Father Edward Schoellmann will be able to begin the building of a church in Africa.
The Supreme Council of the Knights of Columbus has sent a donation of $50,000 in earthquake relief funds to Catholic Relief Services, which has a large presence in Haiti.
