Council 10940 Places 1st & 2nd

Council 10940 placed between 1st and 2nd in four of the six State of Texas Service Programs over 740 other councils in the state.

Church Programs:          1st place

Family Programs:            1st place

Community Programs:      2nd place

  It is a combination of our Knights and families hard work and support that we are able to accomplish all that we do as a council. The awards are nice, but what is more important are the lives that we are able to touch and change with your help and support that earned the recognition.

  We were honored to have Jacob and Dale Guillot on hand to accept the 1st place award for Pro-Life Programs on behalf of our council from the Texas State Deputy. The entire Guillot family has a vision and passion to serve the Special Olympics and demonstrate how one family can make a big difference. 

  I would personally like to thank all of the Knights and their families that worked tirelessly throughout the fraternal year to make so many changes in so many lives. The state of Texas is now the largest jurisdiction in North America. This allows Texas to set the pace for international activities concerning the Knights of Columbus and it is our council that sets the pace for the State of Texas. With out all of you, we couldn’t accomplish even a part of what we do.

  A big thank you needs to go to the experienced Knights that mentored and lead our new Knights this year. If it was not for our PGK’s and other experienced Knights leadership and guidance, we would not be where we are today!

  Our council currently has 262 members and we currently have about 40 super active Knights and about another 40 Knights that help when ever they are available. Just imagine what we could accomplish and the lives we could impact if just half of our council was active. I personally invite all of you to come and join us as we press forward during this next year. With you, we can raise the bar and help even more in need!
