Scott A. MacDonald Council 8512 Easter Egg Hunt
Posted Apr 19, 2017
The Scott A. MacDonald Council 8512 in North Richland Hills conducted our Annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday morning, April 8, 2017.
Our Grand Knight, Bobby Donahoo, coordinated brother Knights placing foil-wrapped chocolate eggs inside over 1500 plastic colored eggs for the Saturday hunt. We received great cooperation from active brothers to get this accomplished in a little over an hour. On the day of the event, brother Knights came out early to hide the plastic eggs into three age group areas for children up to age 15. At 10 a.m., children swarmed the St. John the Apostle Catholic Church grounds to fill their baskets in a matter of minutes. Many childrens’ baskets were filled to the top with the plastic eggs but the real excitement was seeing them trying to find the eggs with the winning tickets for giant Easter egg baskets. Lucky winners went home with gold dollar coins in some eggs and there were Easter egg basket winners from each age group. Our thanks to all the parents who brought their children out and brother Knights for their participation, support and dedication to the children of our community. A great time was felt by all who attended.
