Squires Circle 5279 Flag Presentation

The Squires of the Deacon Pete Martinez Columbian Squires Circle 5279 sponsored by St. Anthony Council 12300 of Wylie, Texas and their fathers gathered at St. Paul Catholic Cemetery to place 23 U.S. flags on the graves of U.S. veterans and 1 Texas flag on the grave of Texas Revolutionary War veteran Charles C. Stibbens.

After the flags were placed on the Veterans’ graves, the Squires, counselors, Knights, and other family members gathered around the grave of the Texas Revolutionary War Veteran and spontaneously sang the National image Anthem followed by Spiritual Committee Chairman John Peter Yamauchi reciting a Memorial Day Prayer for those who died during war, for veterans, and for those currently serving our nation.  Left photo: Pictured behind the grave of the Circle’s namesake, Deacon Pete Martinez, a U.S. veteran, are (left to right) Knight James Callagher, Sq.
