Weatherford, Texas Council 7264 Feed our Families Challenge a Big Success!

November 12th and 13th the Knights of Columbus in Weatherford Texas, challenged the parishioners of St. Stephen Church to help support the parish pantry for Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Our challenge was to donate $1,000 to the pantry if the second collection would equal $1,000 or more. Well, the parishioners did answer our challenge with donations that totaled $4,674 and with our donation of $1,000 the pantry received a total of $5,674. The Knights also, along with a generous parishioner, donated enough money to buy Turkeys and fixings for a Thanksgiving meal which fed over 60 needy families in the St. Stephen parish. We are proud to be a part of the St. Stephen Parish and are very pleased to have a group of parishioners respond so enthusiastically to our call.
