My Brother Sir Knights,

It is with great sadness that I write this message.

As many of you already know, SK Larry Treibel has been fighting cancer for some time.

The end of last week he was re-admitted to MD Anderson for Pneumonia and it was later determined that his cancer had redeveloped.

Earlier this week and I guess before learning that his cancer had redeveloped with good spirits we spoke of his completing a regimen of very strong antibiotics and then being release to go home.

I just got off the phone with Paulette, Lary's wife, and she tells me that Larry is being kept comfortable and breathing with a CPAP machine but his doctors say that he will not make it and he will not be going home.

Larry does not have much time but he is still receiving visitors.  A visit would be short and may just be an acknowledgement of your presence with the opening of his eyes.  If you can, Larry is at MD Anderson in the Medical Center.  Take Elevator F to the 22nd floor.  He is in Room G2270.

The weather is currently unpredictable at best so please consider carefully a trip to see him.

Prayers for Larry, Paulette and his family would be most appropriate.

Vivat Jesus! Viva Cristo Rey!
