Walter Peter Weber passed away February 19, 2012. He was born in Blanco, Texas, on May 22, 1924, to the late August and Olga Weber. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Janet; brothers Frank, Lawrence, and John; and sister Lillian Cox. Walter is survived by his wife, Irene; daughters, Crystal Ingram and Phyllis Vela; son, Tom; grandchildren, Jessica and Kevin Vela, and John, Christopher, and Erin Weber; sister Elnora Scheel; and brother Stephen. Walter was a founding member of St. Matthew Catholic Church and was active in several organizations, always willing to lend a helping hand. He was a faithful member of the Knights of Columbus Council 4140. He retired from AT&T after 39 years of service. Walter was a kind, honest, humorous, generous, and loving person who enjoyed his friends and family. He will be greatly missed. Services Visitation and Rosary at Oak Hills Mortuary, 8332 Fredericksburg Rd at 6:00 and 7:00pm Thursday, February 23, 2012 respectively. Mass of the Resurrection at the St. Matthew Church McDonald Family Center,10703 Wurzbach, San Antonio, TX, 78230 9:30am Friday, February 24, 2012. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 8115 Datapoint Dr., San Antonio TX 78229, St. Matthew Building Fund, or to the charity of your choice.

On behalf of WALT we want to express our gratitude to the thousands of kindred spirits who moved and inspired him along the way. Your support and prayers touched their entire family.”
