KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS BIOGRAPHY OF JON NIESS THIRD DEGREE DATA Joined Father Michael J. McGivney Council 5967 January 1989 in Austin, TX. Transferred to St. Hyacinth Council 10574 January, 1999 in Deer Park, TX Served on numerous program committees and held Council positions of Recorder, DGK, Grand Knight in both Councils. Served all 3 years as Trustee after both terms as GK. Served as District Warden for 5 years. As GK, hosted G/H Diocesan meeting, 2002, erected monument to the unborn @ St Hyacinth church. Served as G/H Chapter Secretary 2 years. I have attended Council meetings in Vermont, New York, Nebraska, Iowa and Texas in my travels. CEREMONIAL WORK Joined the First Degree team @ Fr. McGivney Council 5967 immediately after my First Degree. Continuously active in First Degree work to date Served in 1st, 2nd & 3rd Degree Teams in Clifton Park, NY while attending GE Gas Turbine School, March to June 2009. Currently a member of the G/H First Degree Team Joined the Houston Major Degree Team in 2007 and am currently active. FOURTH DEGREE DATA Joined the 4th Degree Bishop Louis J. Reicher Assembly in Austin April 1, 1990 Charter member of Bishop Vincent M. Harris Assembly in Austin Currently a member of Msgr. Anton Frank Assembly in Pasadena.
