FACE to FACE 4th Degree Exemplification on Saturday, April 24th

Worthy Leaders of the 5th District of Texas,

I am extremely excited to announce that the 5th District of Texas is finally hosting a FACE to FACE 4th Degree Exemplification on Saturday, April 24th, 2021 in Midland at St. Ann's Catholic Parish. Flyer is attached.

A lot of you have told me that you have potential candidates that have been waiting on a face to face exemplification.

Well, here it is!!! Get out there and beat the bushes!

I am hoping and praying for a huge turn out!!!

We will also have a C.U.F exemplification on Friday, April 23rd at St. Stephens Catholic Church in Midland.

It would be nice to have the 4th Degree Fall Out for this CUF Exemplification.

ST. THOMAS AQUINAS COUNCIL #7382 EDUCATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION 2021-2022

St. Thomas Aquinas Council 7382 in Sugar Land, Texas is offering scholarships for the 2021-2022 academic year. Council 7382 members in good standing and their dependents are eligible to apply. Members of families registered at the St. Thomas Aquinas parish in Sugar Land may also apply. Details are on the application form and the submission deadline is 30 April 2021.

Memorial Mass

The Memorial Mass will be hosted at Holy Family Catholic Church, 704 Mallette Dr., Victoria, Texas, on Tuesday, November 10th beginning

with a Mass at 6:00pm, followed by a Rosary being recited after Mass.

Worthy State Deputy Alfredo Vela & Texas State Council

I write this morning to inform the Worthy State Deputy Alfredo Vela and Texas State Council that Past State Deputy Billy Quintanilla's son (Billy Fay Quintanilla) Knight of Columbus 4th Degree will Lord willing receive Holy Orders to the Permanent Diaconate on November 7th, 2020 in the Diocese of Corpus Christi by Bishop Michael Mulvey. As my Father passed away on April 1, 2004, he was never able to witness God's calling in my life. After 5 1/2 years of the formation process to the Permanent Diaconate, myself along with twelve of men will be Ordained in the Diocese of Corpus Christi, TX. We ask for your prayers and continued support as we begin our Ministry. God Bless You All.

18-24 May 2021 Warriors To Lourdes Military Pilgrimage

Good Day Brother Knights,

I’d like your assistance in advertising for the upcoming 18-24 May 2021 Warriors To Lourdes Military Pilgrimage. Below the link for the application, which has a deadline of 15 January:

As discussed in the past, I am one of four troop leaders for the Texas team traveling to Lourdes, France. Last year, we had 234 passengers paid for by the Knights of Columbus. We are hoping for the same attendance.

With this, for the San Antonio area, we will travel to the Houston Airport through ground transportation. Once on the ground transport, we will connect with the rest of the Houston pilgrims and the Fort Hood trip leader (Sandy Stevens). Then onward to France. I will stay contact with you since my wife and I are the San Antonio trip leaders. The Warriors To Lourdes staff is working the finalizing of the applications to include the trip leader’s pilgrim roster. We will make sure, you are on the roster for the San Antonio team. You are welcome to use my personal email if you have any questions. My work email (william.villegas@asab.afcent.af.mil) will be operational until 12 December 2020. Finally, council members of 17179 are distributing brochures to Lackland AFB, Randolph AFB, Fort Sam Houston to include the military wounded care units in San Antonio. Your help in distributing the attachment to the councils throughout Texas is critical. I did not have the Diocesan Deputies’ nor the Texas State Deputy’s email address, so you help in connecting with them is greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your help.

Attached are the final numbers for September 2020.

  1. Daily Update
  2. Final Scores for football games during September—Some Dioceses went 2 and 0. While others went 0-2. The games will continue during the month of October.
  3. Football standings and money earned through September 2020—some dioceses earned the maximum for the month of $200
  4. College Scoreboard—Texas A & M wins it with 215%. Texas Tech was second with 143% and Baylor third with 125%.

As mentioned above, games continue during October.
