Past State Deputy Floyd Tafelski has died.
It is with great sadness that I report to you, the passing of Former Vice Supreme Master and Past Texas State Deputy, Floyd Alvin Tafelski. Floyd was called to eternal life on Tuesday, November 12, 2019. Floyd was a great and proud Knight of Columbus who dedicated his life in service to our Order and the First District of Texas.
Floyd was a member of the Knights of Columbus for 59 years and a 4th Degree member for 45 of those years. At the time of death, he was a member of Father Eugene Heyck Council 8960 in Pearland and also a member of the Bishop Wendelin J. Nold Assembly 2084 in Pearland. He was 84 years old.
Please keep Floyd, his wife Herma Nell and all the loved ones he left behind in your prayers. May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
Let's all gather at St. Helen this Friday as scheduled below for a befitting farewell to this proud 4th Degree Sir Knight. 4th Degree will provide honor guard. Posting will begin as soon as the body arrives in the church.
