Please pray for Past Associate State Chaplain Msgr. Louis from Round Rock as he battles prostate cancer. He provided us the following update recently:
“Nice day! Medical update:
No prostate surgery, radiation for 9 weeks-- 5 days per week, some fatigue and discomfort but I should be able to function.
Your prayers very much appreciated. God bless.
Fr. Louis”

Dear Lord Jesus Christ,
You are the sign of God’s love active in the
world. In your humanity, you became like us in
all things but sin. Thus, you knew firsthand the
reality of suffering and pain, of uncertainty and the
fear of death. In the Garden of Gethsemane, you prayed
for release from the burden (as you also did as you hung
on the cross) but also gave yourself over to fulfillment of
your Father’s will.
Teach me to live in the same spirit of hope-filled resolve.
As I seek healing and recovery, I also recognize that my
condition is precarious and the final outcome is unknown.
I am grateful for all who continue to assist me in my
journey, medically, emotionally, and spiritually. I will do
everything I can to try to assure a positive outcome.
May you boost my spirits, sustain me with your promise
of eternal life, and if it is your will, heal me so that I might
serve you and your people in the years ahead.
Amen.
