I have met people from Cameroon at my parish, St. Maria Goretti, in Arlington, TX, and have made beautiful friendships with many of them. However, in learning the reasons for many of them coming to America on asylum to escape from the terrible bloodshed and unjust war that the President of Cameroon has been leading against the Anglophone Cameroonians, it breaks my heart to their plight. Therefore, I'd like to request prayers that the bloodshed end there and that God will bring a lasting democracy to the people there. Prayers for the nearly 30,000 Anglophone that have lost their lives over the past 5 years and for the ones who need food, work, safety, housing, and general supplies, may God provide for their needs.
