Please keep Reed in your prayers as he was admitted to the THR Frisco with small bowel obstruction and now may be septic! I spoke to Donna last evening and he is resting, and tests are being run to see where they need to go. Will keep you posted as I hear more!

O Lord, my God, Please give me the grace to maintain my hope in you through all of life’s changes and to taste and see your goodness. I praise you for the gifts you have showered on me for so many years. Help me find joy in a renewed strength of spirit. Please bless me with good health, and inspire me to be a good example to others. For you are Lord, forever and ever. Amen.
UPDATE:
Received word this morning (Sept. 13) that Reed will have surgery today to remove blockage. Please keep Reed in your prayers as well as the Doctors, nurses’ and all assistants performing the surgery that the Good Lord will guide them to do their best work! I will keep you posted as I hear results of the surgery.

UPDATE:
Received word from Donna that the surgery was successful, and the obstruction removed. Did not have to remove any of the colon but did remove the appendix while they were in there. Reed will remain in the hospital for the next 2 to 5 days! Keep the prayers headed his way!

Blessed Savior, I thank you that this operation is safely past, and now I rest in your abiding presence, relaxing every tension, releasing every care and anxiety, receiving more and more of your healing life into every part of my being. In moments of pain I turn to you for strength, in times of loneliness I feel your loving nearness. Grant that your life and love and joy may flow through me for the healing of others in your name. Amen.
