Just moments ago, I received a very tearful call from the daughter of Suzy Reininger, Alexandria Hill.
Suzy passed yesterday, July 22, 2021.
I have known Suzy since Jr. High. First, Suzy was one of the nicest and kindest people and ladies I have been blessed to know. Suzy loved, lived, and put God first followed by her daughter and Dad. But Suzy lived our faith by her words and actions, as she would do anything she could to help others including sacrificing in her own life. Suzy was fiercely protective of her daughter Alexia. Alexia was in fact Suzy’s world, very proud and very prayerful for Alexia’s health, happiness, and safety.
Suzy was a member of Holy Ghost parish in Bellaire and would often amaze me she was at an early mass in spite of having pain.
Further, since my return to Houston following my USAF retirement Suzy would checkup on me and offer legal suggestions as Suzy was a paralegal. Suzy would talk about her daughter and her dogs, and the occasional motorcycle ride in and around Houston. Suzy is a lady you would have liked. In my opinion the world is a little sadder and darker today, although our Lord is hugging the dickens out of Suzy as Suzy’s Dad is pushing his way to greet his little girl.
Alexia is now alone and completely devastated by the loss of her mother. Alexia knew unconditional love from her Mom.
Thus, I requests your prayers for the repose of Suzy’s soul and your prayers and condolences to Alexia. Thank you.

We beseech Thee, O Lord, in Thy mercy, to have pity on the soul of Thy handmaid; do Thou, Who hast freed her from the perils of this mortal life, restore to her the portion of everlasting salvation. Through Christ our Lord, Amen.
