It is with heavy heart that I inform you of the passing of Brother Frank Gardiner.  He died this morning around 3 am, he was 94 years old.  Please pray for the peaceful repose of his soul.

Frank joined the order June 26, 1955, he took all his degrees that day.  He was a 64 year member of the Order – our longest living member.  Frank however never joined the 4th degree.  Frank was an engineer by trade.  Frank was our chief cook for all fundraisers and socials which seemed like forever ago.  He could calculate exactly the amount of meat, potato salad, or whatever, including the shrinkage due to cooking.  Frank always had the correct equipment whatever we needed & we joking said you had to check it out but sign the paper in blood.  Frank always knew what was out & what needed to be returned.  Frank was a rock for our council for so many years.  His health over the last few years has kept him from coming to meetings & other events.  We have lost a great asset to our Council.

Please pray for Barbara & his family.  I will let us all know the arrangements.  He will be cremated according to the family.

Requested by:  David Zeigler, PGK, PFN, FDD, Msgr. L.L. Meyer Council 1422

God our Father,
Your power brings us to birth,
Your providence guides our lives,
and by Your command we return to dust.

Lord, those who die still live in Your presence,
their lives change but do not end.
I pray in hope for my family,
relatives and friends,
and for all the dead known to You alone.

In company with Christ,
Who died and now lives,
may they rejoice in Your kingdom,
where all our tears are wiped away.
Unite us together again in one family,
to sing Your praise forever and ever.
