Way to go, TEXAS! We have gone back-to-back into the Circle of Honor! Brother Knights … Celebrate this awesome achievement! Share High-Fives all around! Now … enough with the celebrating, that was last year. We must now refocus our efforts on the new fraternal year. We must get back to the work necessary to grow our honored Order. This year our membership goal is set at 4,500 new members. We must hit the ground running, if we are to go into the Circle of Honor (COH) for three (3) consecutive years. We need every council actively inviting practical Catholic men to join us, at every opportunity!

It is up to each of us to ensure Texas leads the way in Division #1. There are many other jurisdictions looking to be #1 in Division 1. Each year we see how other jurisdictions do not give up. They will be out there recruiting up to and including the last day of the fraternal year. Each of us are needed to ensure TEXAS leads Division 1 throughout the fraternal year and ends the year at #1.

“Christ Be Our Light”: ‘Then God said, “Let there be light;” and there was light. And God saw that the light was good; and God separated the light from the darkness. God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And there was evening and there was morning, the first day.’ (Gen 1.3-5) As Knights of Columbus we are called to step into the breach and lead others to the light of Christ.

The State of Texas is home to over 800 Knights of Columbus councils. Brother Knights serve in almost every parish across our great state, in councils, online membership, assemblies, round tables, military councils, and college councils.

Remember, we are not merely recruiting men to meet membership goals. We recruit new members to make a difference in our community, in our Church, and in the lives of the men who become Knights. Additionally, when we make a difference in the life of a fellow Brother, this also impacts their families. We are called to invite every Catholic gentleman and their families to join our Order. Embrace the Power of One!

Just in case you are wondering, what is the Power of One? It is one new member, per council, per month.

District Deputies, you are an integral part of a council’s success. The Membership Team asks for your continued support in keeping your councils motivated, active and accountable for their goals. You are a vital part to them achieving their goals. When we all work together, towards common goals, with everyone working together as a cohesive team, Texas will reach our membership goals this fraternal year.

So, let’s continue with the business at hand … keep the recruitment fire burning strong and bright … continue the growth of this great Order.

VIVAT JESUS!
